  • 2. People are quite relaxed and friendly when doing business.
  • 3. Depending on the city, people’s behavior can change. The coastal residents, for example, are more relaxed than in the capital.
  • 4. But do not expect them to be always on time.
  • 5. They feel enthusiastic about your offers.
  • 6. But it does not mean they will buy.
  • 7. Prefer phone over email to exchange with your collaborators.
  • 8. Religion is a main aspect of the culture. People will most likely refer to it as a benediction.
  • 9. Soccer, music, coffee, women, local cities and food are other important traits of Colombia’s proud.
  • 10. The way you look is very important. Make sure you are clean and classy.
  • 11. The contact zone is quite close. People like to touch and stand at close distance.
  • 12. When offered a drink, it is better to accept it.
  • 13. Titles are important. Call people by their status (Sir, Doctor, etc.) and names.
  • 14. People also like to talk about personal matters.
  • 15. People are used to ask several questions when greeting. Be kind, reply and ask back.
  • 16. When being close, collaborators often salute with hugs, and one kiss for women.
