  4. 4. Types of feedback• Quantitative: This is feedback based on data. For example, Of 10 students questioned, 8 rated Media Studies lessons as ‘average.’• Qualitative: This is open, comment-based feedback. For example, Students described the teaching as ‘not bad,’ though one described the teacher as ‘looking a lot older than he really is.’

Collecting Feedback• You need a mix of both quantitative and qualitative feedback.• You can get quantitative feedback by asking closed questions – questions where there are fixed answers.• You can get qualitative feedback by asking open questions – where you invite people to give a response.
