7. 7. Contact Perfect Sectional

Tofflemire allows for conservative inter-proximal tooth reduction

Tofflemire allows for placement around entire tooth

Requires wider embrasures, tension from C-ring increases risk of Cuspal fractures

Spring loaded C-rings prone to dislodge; ? Aspiration w/out Rubber dam

0
 8. 8.

Allows for a Contact Perfect MOD restoration w/ a single matrix band

Tofflemire permits multiple tooth surface restoration w/ one band

Must use 2 bands and 2 C-rings for an MOD doubling the effort and potential dislodgement

Limited surface area restricts restoration to proximal area

Contact Perfect Sectional 0
 9. 9.

Shielded window allows for superior resin compaction and eliminates gingival axial voids

Contact Perfect “tap” after removing shield yields the ultimate contact

Excessive compaction can encourage unwanted buccal-lingual extrusion

Weak or open contacts can occur upon band removal

Contact Perfect Sectional 0
