Children Helping Children Presentation Transcript

  • 1. Children helping children:) To get the childrens view on how they would like to be helped, if they were sad or got hurt, we interviewed 9 children from 0.grade and 8 children from 1.grade just before summervacation. To our surprise most of the children from 0.grade wanted to get help from one of their friends and most of the children from 1.grade said that they wanted to get help from an adult. That got us thinking, that maybe we influenced the children, so they learned that they had to fetch an adult if they wanted help. Therefore we have chosen starting from the point of the adults way of approaching the children, when they are sad or got hurt.
  • 2. In the week 45 we kickstarted our projekt with a joint intro for all our children in 0., 1. and 2. grade. We performed a small play to make it clear for the children, what it was all about – Children-helping- Children.
  • 3. To mark this week we did different tings e.g. Massage, mindfullness, making hands out of cardboard and placing them all around in the school. And as a symbol we made a big banner with a print of all our hands, and this banner is going to hang in our hall to remind us of helping each other.
  • 4. Foot-massage in 0.grade
  • 5. Thursday in the week 45 Viben(children and adults) visited us and showed us, what they have been working with. They sang a couple of songs about friendship for us and these songs we have learnt and we are singing them frequently.
  • 6. Subsequently we have evaluated both in classes and in our gatherings and are still using massage and mindfullness and the children constantly bring us information of how they help eachother during the day.
  • 7. In march Spring SFO is starting with around 50 new children and our plan is to introduce and incorporate our projekt Children- helping-Children for alle the new children. Some of the children attending Spring SFO are coming from Viben, so hopefully they can show the other children how to help each eachother. ● This is just the begining, we will continue the good work:)
