  3. 3. Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied. Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about.” Genesis 22:1-2
  4. 4. Go to God
  5. 5. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5
  6. 6. Sometimes God Doesn’t Make Sense
  7. 7. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. Isaiah 55:8
  8. 8. Go to the word of God
  9. 9. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105
  10. 10. Sometimes God’s Word Doesn’t Make Sense
  11. 11. “Listen carefully to what I am about to tell you: The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men.” But they did not understand what this meant. It was hidden from them, so that they did not grasp it, and they were afraid to ask him about it. Luke 9:44-45
  12. 12. Ask for revelation from God
  13. 13. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7
  14. 14. Sometimes God’s Voice Is Hard To Hear
  15. 15. Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. 1 Kings 19:11-12
  16. 16. Ask others you trust to help
  17. 17. Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
  18. 18. Sometimes What Other’s Say Don’t Make Sense
  19. 19. Wait and trust in the LORD
  20. 20. Wait for the LORD and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you will see it. Psalm 37:34
  21. 21. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
  22. 22. Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31
