    • Everyone Speaks English… Or do they?
    • Hello!
      • Have you ever stopped to consider how many people are saying "hello" to each other today, and in how many different languages? If you wanted to say "hello" to everyone on the planet, you would have to learn at least 2,796 languages and greet at least 6,500,000,000 people. Here are some of the ways of saying "hello" around the world (Well at least the top 10).
    • 35% of you… Say nihao
    • 13% of you… Say Hola
    • 10% of you… Say Bom Dia
    • 8% of you… Say mArHAbAn pronounced Mar-ha-ban
    • 10% of you… Say namaste or adaab ir salam
    • 7% of you… Say namaskar
    • 6% of you… Say pree-vyet
    • 5% of you… Say Konichiwa
    • 4% of you… Say Guten Tag
    • Still feel English rules?
      • In your tutor group, globally only 3 people will speak English as a first language.
      • Only 6 will speak it as a first or additional language.
      • This is less than the number of Chinese speakers!
    • Globally… in your tutor group…
      • 10 People will speak Chinese
      • 4 people will speak Spanish
      • 4 People will speak English
      • 3 People will speak Portuguese
      • 2 people will speak Arabic
      • 3 people will speak Hindi/Urdu
      • 2 people wll speak Bengali
      • 2 people will speak Russian
      • 1 person will speak Japanese
      • ! Person will speak German
    • But this is just the Top 10
      • In the average tutor group
        • ½ will speak a language from the top 10
        • ½ will not
