  3. 3. Students enjoyed the slideshow while waiting for our special guests. Our HKES community was proud to receive the gift of $10,000 from code.org.
  4. 4. The Governor, the librarian, the Student Council President, the principal, the Superintendent, and the Lieutenant Governor The Governor shares his vision for all students in Hawaii to have access to technology so they can be prepared for their future.
  5. 5. Alexandria tutors Governor Abercrombie. He was proud to have completed 3 levels. Lt. Governor Tsutsui ponders his next line. He completed 7 levels.

  8. 8. The Governor invited Skyler and Jocelyn to join him in the interview. The Superintendent shared that coding is an essential skill for our students to learn.
  9. 9. 4th and 5th grade students were excellent teachers! Their reward? Enjoying the snacks donated by the PTO! Great job, kids!!
  10. 10. Lizzie was a very poised MC, a wonderful representative of Hale Kula! What a great logo, designed by Tech Coordinator, Megan Cummings!
  11. 11. Michelle Colte, our librarian/media resource teacher, for being the force behind Hale Kula’s school-wide participation in “The Hour of Code.” Without her, we might not have won the $10,000 award from code.org. Mahalo, Mrs. Colte!
