    • Set short-term and long-term goals for each IYCian up to cadre levels
      • Set Yearly/Half-Yearly goals for each IYCians in national level, state level, constituency level, ward level and even in cadre level.
      • Goals achieved needs to be reviewed every 6 months.
      • Each Goal should be well measurable.
      • Officer bearers should have both individual level goals and team level goals.
      • Some Examples for goals:-
      • Individual Level (Based on ward/mandal/constituency/education background)
        • Present a paper on national development in a community
        • Present a proposal on how MyPanchayat can be self sufficient
        • Assist poor and needy children in their studies
        • Plant 100 trees in your panchayat
        • Enroll 100 youths to IYC
      • Panchayat Level
        • Setting up reading room and reading club
        • Setting up an oratory club
        • Fighting for proper roads, internet availability
        • Setting up a water purification plant, biogas plant, bus stop, water harvesting plant, playground etc
      • Similarly all level leaders should have clear visibility on the goals he/she has to achieve in every 6 months .
      • Proper credits has to be given for achieving the goals
  • Detailed Thoughts - 4
    • Formation of Indian Youth Congress Mentors (IYCM)
      • Consists of Economists, Retired professors, management experts etc
      • Every IYCian should have a mentor whom he can contact on advice
      • IYCM should be able to design the curriculum for different learning paths in IYC and guide IYCians to achieve goals
      • We can never fill the gap and knowledge which IYCM can bring.
    • Finding and categorizing IYCians
      • IYC Think Tanks, IYC Strategists, IYC Visionary, IYC Crowd Puller, IYC Idea Champion, IYC Philanthropist etc.
      • Idea is to analyse each IYCians capability and find in what way he can contribute better to IYC and to India.
    • Mission Literate India
      • We being the deep rooted organization, we are in the best position to ensure India is totally literate.
  • Detailed Thoughts - 5
    • Formation of IYC public forum for regular debates on India Development and Current affairs
      • Should gradually get credibility like Ted (www.ted.com ) or Toast master club.
      • On a regular basis need to organize politically unbiased workshops/symposiums/debates.
      • Eminent speakers, economic experts, other political party leaders needs to be invited
      • All these discussions/debates needs to be available on IYC website for further listening
      • “ INC was then a platform where all the different minded people can share their thoughts and join their hands for the ultimate goal – FREEDOM” – Pranab Mukherjee in ‘The Congress and making of India Nation’
    • IYC to be a creative opposition
      • Irrespective of the governments IYC should act like an Opposition
      • This will ensure a constructive self-criticism even when INC is ruling.
      • Idea is do or die for our goals like in the freedom struggle era and ensure India is developed
  • Detailed Thoughts - 6
    • Model IYC Panchayat /Ward /Assembly /Parliament awards in every 6 months
      • This should be mainly focused to motivate grass-root IYCians and as a recognition for their collective goals achievements
    • More IYC Awards and Recognitions on individual levels to be implemented
      • Individual awards for each Panchayath/Constituency/State/National
      • Again need to focus on motivating grass-root IYCians
    • IYC mailing groups and SMS broadcasting mechanism up to assembly levels.
      • To ensure all IYCians are linked together.
      • To spread the messages as fast as possible.
      • IYCians should be able to easily register to SMS alerts through websites
  • Detailed Thoughts - 7
    • IYC blood donor database to be made publically accessible up to Panchayat level
      • This has to get a credibility like ( http://www.friends2support.org/ ) or more than that.
      • SMS alerts in Panchayat level and assembly levels should be implemented whenever we get a request to ensure we are able to actually help the needy.
  • Detailed Thoughts - 9
    • Moot parliament competitions across country
      • To ensure IYCians are getting molded as eminent parliamentarians
    • IYC man hour collection for social work and orphanages.
      • This has to be tightly coupled with the goals.
      • This way IYC should ensure a guaranteed commitment towards society
    • IYC Reading Rooms and Reading Club in every Panchayath/Assembly
      • To be read jointly with Mission Literate India concept.
      • This has to a place where IYCians can hang around on a regular basis.
      • Should be open to all.
  • Detailed Thoughts – 10
    • In-depth analysis of other successful political/non-political youth organizations in the world.
      • Needed to understand how a youth organization can be successful in outreaching maximum youths for long term.
    • IYC Pre-membership/Membership making online.
      • This will attract more youths and membership procedure will be simplified.
      • Scanned copies of age and address proofs needs to be uploaded during this process
    • IYCian be a helping hand to common man in Panchayat levels.
      • Still common man is unaware of many government formalities/projects/grants /Self employment programs available to help people from poverty.
      • Common man still believes these programs are unachievable.
      • All IYCians to be well equipped with this knowledge and approachable to all common man irrespective of the political ideology.
    • Regular assembling for IYCians in Panchayat/Ward level
      • Similar to Shakha in RSS
      • Essential to increase the bondage and integrity between IYCians
