  • 11. The Most Successful Model
    • MIT Media Lab:
      • Good funding, people, innovation generating IP (100+ patents) and Spin-offs (58+), great visibility, and positive effects on the host city
      • Had some hard years after the bubble burst but seems to be on the rebound.
    • Others have succeeded too, but not as much as the media lab on so many fronts.

  • 12. The Jerusalem Innovation Lab
    • Philosophy :
        • We believe that the gestalt that is created when such people work together will be larger than what any one of these groups can achieve on their own .
      • We act under the belief that radical innovation can be enhanced and powered by the synergies generated in the mixture of researchers, engineers, designers and artists.

        • Start Small then grow (5 researchers – 10- 20)
        • Enable 1 revolving slot for visiting researchers
        • Look for varied backgrounds
        • Use Zionism
      • Students (work-study)*
        • For Pay (better than student pay, less than industry)
        • Exceptional First degree students or MA students
        • Hands On, Self Motivated, Self Learning, Can-do!
