Nerja villas Document Transcript

  • 1. Nerja VillasNerja is situated some 50 kms from Malaga on the coast. It is a beautiful, typicallyAndalucian town which has retained its local charms. Nerja benefits from manythings including its climate, location and quality of life, but perhaps for mostholiday renters, one of the most important things is that apartments and villas inNerja are plentiful and the main form of accommodation. They are however, very popular – with tens of thousands of UK & Ireland visitorsbooking summer holidays early – so if you want a pick of places then do notdelay!
  • 2. So, why are villas in Nerja so popular? Well, there is the climate – with summertemperatures regularly above 30 degrees. The beaches - El Playazo, La Torrecilla,El Salon, Calahonda, El Chorillo, and Burriana stretch over 16 km of fine sand andclear waters. All major water sports are available, including water skiing, scubadiving and sailing. It could also be the way of life - self-catering is well supported, the townreputedly offers more places to eat per head of population, than anywhere else inSpain - around 400 bars and restaurants. The benefit to you, apart from choice, isthat standards are high and prices are reasonable. Eating places range from"cheap and cheerful" to 3 and 4 stars, from traditional Andalucian cuisine throughBritish, Chinese, Greek, Indian, and others, and from tapas to Sunday roasts -everything is catered for.
  • 3. The old town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces, idle for a gentle afternoon stroll. However, the heart of Nerja is its spectacular Balcón de Europa, the "Balcony ofEurope", a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, once thesite of the great Moorish castle, with panoramic views of the Mediterranean andthe small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy blueSierra mountains.
  • 4. Finally, there are the historic caves located just three kilometres from the centreof town. They include archaeological treasures such as paintings over 20,000years old and other pre-historic remains. One of the enormous natural cavernshas been transformed into a concert hall, where many performances are stagedduring the summer.Whatever your reasons for choosing Nerja villas, you will be glad you did.WHL Villas have access to hundreds of villas in Nerja– 2 bed to 6/7 beds, from£500 per week through to £2,000 per week in the summer.NOTE: We have further additions to our range due in September 2012.
