    25% of usual diet is rodents 75% is plants.
    Home range of 1-36 square miles.
    Between January & February the female gives birth to 2-3 cubs
    Mating season is from may-July.
    Black bear cubs normally weigh in at 10 pounds each.
    Theyclimb,run and swim well.
    Rarely attacks people
    If mother bear has her cubs she may feel easily threatened
    They live 2 different lives.
    During spring ,summer and fall only thinks about eating.
    Winter is resting time

    Length: 4 ½ -6 feet.
    Weight: 200 – 600 lbs.
    Diet: Omnivores
    # of young 1-3 cubs
    Home: North America
