Also a Plan <ul><li>Budgeting and Cost Resources </li></ul><ul><ul><li>New in MS Project 2007 </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Addresses non-labor, non-material costs such as travel, licenses, room fees </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Budgets can be applied to any resource type: Labor, material, or cost </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Can only be assigned to the project summary task but can assign as many as you need </li></ul></ul>

Cost Resources <ul><li>New to MS Project 2007 </li></ul><ul><li>Can break down by category, granularity (vs. using the Cost tab on a task) </li></ul><ul><li>Cost resources have no impact on schedule, task dependencies </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Can be apportioned by date however </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Can use same resource multiple times </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Cost is therefore assigned at assignment, not creation </li></ul></ul>
