  • Workshop Description   Digital storytelling is  the new Powerpoint allowing you andyour students  to combine text, images, audio,and video to tellstories. Learn why and how to engage your students in higherlevels of thinking as they create movies to show their level ofunderstanding about a curricular concept.  Digital Stories cancome in a variety of formats (poetry, riddles, documentaries)and can be produced in any content area (math in the realworld, a science explanation, or a literary interpretation).  Useyour PC--photostory 3 and Windows MovieMaker 2.6 oryour MAC --GarageBand and iMovie, or even your mobiledevice to create simple to sophisticated digital stories. We willexplore ways to plan, manage, and assess your students toensure digital storytelling success. Please make sure you havethese programs ready to roll during our time together.
