Drop-off Procedures!!! <ul><li>New traffic signal to be complete at intersection of McCall and Sherman </li></ul><ul><li>Median constructed on Sherman – easy in and out access at parent pick up </li></ul><ul><li>Directional signs and staff will direct traffic flow to maximize safe and efficient drop off and dismissal </li></ul>

Daily Schedule <ul><li>Every student has six class periods each day </li></ul><ul><li>Each class period is approximately 51 minutes long </li></ul><ul><li>6 th and 7 th grade Core classes - fewer teachers - English Language Arts/Social Science, Math/Science, Physical Education, (Elective based on CST) </li></ul><ul><li>8 th Grade Departments </li></ul><ul><ul><li>preparation for high school </li></ul></ul><ul><li>There is a 12-minute nutrition break </li></ul><ul><li>There is a 38-minute lunch break </li></ul><ul><ul><li>6 th grade lunch 11:43 </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>7 th /8 th lunch 12:38 </li></ul></ul>

Class Placement <ul><li>Student schedules will be based on CST Scores, Benchmark scores, Grades, Special Education, and English Language Development status </li></ul><ul><li>Students scoring in the Basic or below range will be placed in a double English Language Arts class </li></ul><ul><li>Students scoring in the Proficient or Advanced range will have elective options </li></ul><ul><li>Schedules will be adjusted once the 2008-2009 scores are released to the schools </li></ul>
