      • First period begins at 8:45 AM
      • Sixth period ends at 3:06 PM
      • Friday Reduced Day ends at 2:13 PM
      • Students may enter campus at 8:30 AM
    9. Drop-off Procedures!!!
      • New traffic signal to be complete at intersection of McCall and Sherman
      • Median constructed on Sherman – easy in and out access at parent pick up
      • Directional signs and staff will direct traffic flow to maximize safe and efficient drop off and dismissal
    10. Daily Schedule
      • Every student has six class periods each day
      • Each class period is approximately 51 minutes long
      • 6 th and 7 th grade Core classes - fewer teachers - English Language Arts/Social Science, Math/Science, Physical Education, (Elective based on CST)
      • 8 th Grade Departments
        • preparation for high school
      • There is a 12-minute nutrition break
      • There is a 38-minute lunch break

    11. Class Placement
      • Student schedules will be based on CST Scores, Benchmark scores, Grades, Special Education, and English Language Development status
      • Students scoring in the Basic or below range will be placed in a double English Language Arts class
      • Students scoring in the Proficient or Advanced range will have elective options
      • Schedules will be adjusted once the 2008-2009 scores are released to the schools

      • Lunch Applications – Available at Menifee USD website – www.menifeeusd.org – Departments – Food Services
      • Pay Pal System – Parents will be able to add money to student accounts and monitor your account activity
      • Parents/Guardians can apply for the free or reduced lunch program by completing an application available at the Enrollment Center and on the District Webpage. 30 day grace period in order to renew National School Lunch Program status - breakfast
      • Current account and balance will transfer to HCMS
      • Students must present ID to purchase lunch
    20. Transportation
      • Six busses will transport students to HCMS
      • Visit www.menifeeusd.org – Departments – Maintenance, Operations, Transportation to view bus pass information and bus routes
      • Students must present their bus pass to ride the bus
