The Garden is in Captain Cook, 12miles south of Kailua-Kona.The focus of the 15-acre botanical garden id Hawaiianethnobotany: the study of Hawaiian people and their plants.The garden is named for kama’aina botanist Amy Greewell.On the garden there is over200 species of plants that grew inthe traditional farms and native forests of Kona beforeCaptain Cook arrived in the late 18th century.
