  • 2. Cross Christianity was introduced into society during the medieval period. The church felt that it was time to step in and bring about some sort of order because prior to this time life was chaotic. Christianity brought forth the chivalric code which was established to prevent the behavior that was once considered to be acceptable.
  • 3. Crown During the medieval times the crown was a symbol of royalty and power. King Arthur was of great royalty and he would wear a crown.
  • 4. Pentangle The pentangle was the symbol displayed on Gawain’s shield during the medieval period. This symbol was used to show Gawain’s power and perfection over evil. The symbol was also used by Christians to represent the five wounds of christ.
  • 5. King Arthur During the medieval times it is said that King Arthur was the brave man that successfully pulled Excalibur from the stone. He was deemed one of the noblest kings of his time because of his courageous acts.
  • 6. Knight’s Armor During the medieval period knights had to wear armor because it was very vital during the middle ages. This armor provided essential body protection from all of the weapons used on the battlefields.
  • 7. Shield The shields were used a lot during the medieval times. These shields were developed to protect a knight from direct blows of weapons.
  • 8. The Castle Camelot Camelot was the most famous castle in the medieval ages during the time of King Arthur. Camelot was home to King Arthur’s round table. This castle was built to secure King Arthur and his kingdom.
  • 9. The Sword Excalibur Excalibur was a legendary sword that was believed to have had magical powers. King Arthur pulling this sword from the stone played a huge role during the medieval ages because it showed that he was courageous.
  • 10. Map of 14th Century England This is a map of England during the 14th century. This is significant because it shows what England was like during King Arthur’s rule.
  • 11. Written text of Gawain and the Green Knight This story was significant to the medieval times because it showed importance of chivalry and honor.
  • 12. Infinity The infinity symbol represents something that has no limit. This symbol is important to my life because reminds me that there is no limit to what I can do with my life.
  • 13. This picture symbolizes a girl whose heart is ripped out. This picture is so important to my life because it reminds me to stay tough and not be so sensitive to everything.
