Approximately20,000 sqm of office area and 110 apartments (abouthalf for a senior citizen facility) will be built in thenorthern part of the !45mn project. In addition to a"Harbor Market" of some 8,000 sqm featuring amarket hall as well as retail and gastronomy areas,there will also be a marina with slips for 120pleasure craft.Scheduled to complete 2011 Capital Partners: Projectfund expanded to !500mnArchitect: Competo Capital Partners GmbHDescription: Competo Capital Partners GmbH,Munich, has expanded the equity fund which it issuedfor projects in Germany. It announced that as ofOctober, 2008, two further institutional investors havejoined the current investor: the Family Office ofHamburg-based property dealer Dieter Becken. The twonew investors are the Hamburg-based firmsHanseMerkur Versicherungsgruppe and LampeCorporate Finance GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of thebanking house Lampe. The Competo fund thus hasenough equity to participate in projects of up to !500mn.Until now, the fund has taken a stake in seven projectsby various developers at a total investment volume ofapproximately !240mn. The Competo fund is investingnationwide in office, commercial and residential realestate projects, mainly in Munich, Stuttgart andHamburg. Further regional investment targets are Berlin,Cologne, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt. Bidding consortium acquiresclinic building for !13.5mnArchitect: Marc-France Jallard GraetzGeorg GraetzDescription: A consortium made up of 80 privateconstruction groups has had its bid for 16 landmarkedbrick buildings belonging to the “Urban” Hospital in theKreuzberg district of Berlin accepted. The consortiumwill pay !13.5mn to Vivantes, the owner, for theproperty. Starting in 2009, 120 apartments and a numberof commercial units are to be developed in the buildingsbetween Urbanstrasse, Grimmstrasse andDieffenbachstrasse. Bouwfonds buys mixed-use building in AltonaDescription: Via an investment company, BouwfondsHamburg GmbH has acquired the "imPuls Schanze".The sellers are HIBB Hanseatische ImmobilienBetreuungs- und Beteiligungs GmbH and VIVUMGmbH, which developed the project as a joint venture.According to HIBBs plans, the residential andcommercial building is to have two floors foroffices,three for residences, and the ground floor for retail on atotal of approximately 8,000 sqm. Completion of theproject was previously planned for the end of 2009, butconstruction has not yet begun.

Hotel Development : EuropeHilton Accelerates Expansion inTurkey 10/31/2008Decription: Hilton Hotels Corporation (HHC) hasrevealed that Turkey is its most successful internationaldevelopment market and now boasts the largest pipelineof any global hotel group.
