    Cell Cycle - Presentation Transcript

    1. The Cell Cycle
      From Interphase to Cytokinesis
      By Jesse Kazemir
    2. Interphase
Interphase is the main life of a cell, where the cell grows, and carries out its function. Centrioles and chromosomes form.
    3. Growth and Preparation
    4. DNA Replication
    5. Continued Growth and Preparation
    6. Mitosis
Mitosis is the stage in cell division where the parts of the cell are duplicated/divided.
    7. Early Prophase
Prophase: the nuclear membrane and nucleolus start to disappear, spindle fibers start to form
    8. Late Prophase
    9. Metaphase
Metaphase: the spindle fibers pull chromosomes to the centre of the cell
    10. Anaphase
Anaphase: spindle fibers contract and shorten, sister chromatids separate
    11. Telophase
Telophase: the spindle fibers start to disappear, nuclear membrane and nucleolus form
    12. Cytokinesis
Cytokinesis: the final stage of cell cycle, the membrane pinches together, and the cell divides
