Timetable: Tuesday 16.45 – 17.30 / Friday 15.40 – 16.35. Date: 29/10/13. Topic: Water Cycle. Class Nº1 AIMS To introduce new vocabulary related to the water cycle. To emphasise the importance of water. To encourage collaborative work. OBJECTIVES To relate the use of water with their everyday lives. To learn new vocabulary items related to the water cycle. To read and complete a short text about water. To associate pictures with the name of the process.

ACTIVITIES ACTIVITY TYPE OF MACROSKILL INTERACTION Whole-class / Speaking Individual TIMING MATERIALS 10’ Blackboard The student teacher will Whole-class / Speaking project an image of the Individual water cycle with a beamer, and will try to elicit some vocabulary items the students may know. 5’ Blackboard Beamer The student teacher will Whole-class show flashcards with images of water, its stages, and the agents of the water cycle. The student teacher will stick them on the blackboard and the students will have to copy them. 15’ Flashcards Blackboard The student teacher will ask the students some questions about their daily routine, free time and meals, eg, What do you do every morning? I get up, have breakfast, have a shower and wash my teeth. What do you eat and drink every day? Water. The student teacher will make emphasis on the fact that we use water all the time and will ask the student to give examples of things we use it for, e.g., washing our clothes, cooking food, drinking, etc. Speaking
  3. 3. The students will read and Pair work complete a short text1 about water. Then, they will read 5 (five) explanations of the processes and number the drawings2. Extra activity: Paint the drawings. Reading / Writing 10’ Photocopies provided by the student teacher
