Twitter Settings - Account [3] People can search for people they know on twitter by connecting with their e- mailaccounts. Do you want to be found by people you already know? Select this option! You can add your location to each tweet. When this is activated other people can see your actual location. Be carefull! Not sure what to do? Turn it off.... When youʼve selected this option your tweets are visible only to people youʼve connected with. You will recieve a request when people want to follow you.

Twitter Settings - Change Password [3] Yes, we have spammers and hackers on twitter! Is your Twitter account sending tweets or messages you didnʼt send yourself? Your account might be hacked. Change your password immediately!

Twitter Settings - Email Notifications [3] Twitter will send you email notifications. On this ʻNotificationʼ page you can change the settings for recieving these messages.

Twitter - Tweet (@replies, mention & hashtag) [4] @ (mention or reply) Using an @ in combination with a username in a tweet directs the tweet to a speciﬁc user. The tweet will be visible for other ʻtweepsʼ too, unless you have a protected account. An message with a @ will show up in the users "replies" tab. You can type the @<username> in a tweet to mention someone. When you want to reply on a tweet just click the reply button under that tweet, the @<username> will show up automaticly. Hashtag (#) A hashtag is a way of organizing your Tweets for Twitter search engines. Users simply preﬁx a message with a hashtag to enable others to discover relevant posts. Adding a hashtag (#) to a word makes that word clickable... Twitter - Tweet (ReTweet & DM) [4] RT (ReTweet) A Retweet (RT) is used on Twitter to show you are tweeting something that was posted by another user. The format is “RT @<username>” where username is the Twitter name of the person you are retweeting. DM (Direct Message) A private message (direct message) send to a person. You can only send direct messages to people you are following and who are following you back! You can send a direct message by clicking ʻMesssagesʼ on the top navigation bar.
