As we think about how to be the church in 2010...

We consider how to move past old ways of doing to new ways of being

We can make things confusing and command-heavy...

Or we can simply follow Jesus without burdens and confusion

We find clarity and simplicity in submitting to Jesus' authority and living like he did

Jesus is our King We need to submit to his authority

We covenant with God in our baptisms to submit to our king's authority

Submit to Jesus' authority

Jesus is the true servant We need to follow his lead

We covenant with God in our baptisms to live like Jesus “ We were therefore buried with [Christ] through baptism into death in order that...we too may live a new life.” (Romans 6:4)

Jesus began his ministry after his baptism

We covenant with God in our baptisms to be involved in ministry

Serve others
