Did you ever dig deeper into the 'full integration' of SCRUM and PRINCE2?

  • kevinb404 kevinb404 Hi,

Love slideshow. Its good to see people begining to realise that PRINCE2 is more Agile than people think. Please refer to my blog post which argues that PRINCE2 is Agile.

    http://eprince2.com/articles/prince2-is-agile/2011/03/17/

I argue agile and PRINCE2 are the same thing and that Agile is nothing more than 'old wine in new bottles'.

  • kevinb404 kevinb404 Hi I think the slideshow is great. The debate concerning PRINCE2 and AGILE needs to be aired. The only problem I have with your slide show is that I don’t see Agile and PRINCE2 as seperate methods. I already believe the 2009 version of PRINCE2 is Agile. Take a look at my recent post http://eprince2.com/articles/prince2-is-agile/2011/03/17/ which explains this in detail. In my view agile is nothing new and is very much ’old wine in new bottles’ 2 years ago

  • Webadviser Directrix Digital at Directrix Digital Were you referring to the latest (2009) revision or the previous revision of PRINCE2 when putting this together?
Because many of the improvements suggested on slide 45 were updated in the recent revision of the Prince2 framework.

Slide 38 sums it up you point nicely. Prince2 and SCRUM / AGILE can coexist operating at different levels.

The imagery used in this presentation is great BTW,

  • magia3e Matthew Hodgson, Senior Executive, Agile + UX at Zen Ex Machina Hi Jens.

I like this approach. More people should understand the natural compliment of PRINCE2 overlayed at a macro level on agile project implementation methods.

  • jenshoffmann Jens Hoffmann, CEO at Hoffmann Consulting GmbH Hi Craig,

I would like to do that, but the original talk has been around 1.5 hours. I thought that would be to much for everybody. What do you think?

Btw. actually I'm working on a Scrum only version, were I digg deeper into the full integration of PRINCE2 with SCRUM.

    Best

  • craigwbrown Craig Brown, consultant at Better Projects Hi Jens

I'd love to hear you talk to this. Any chance of adding an mp3?

Also - could you elaborate on the scope v time/buget dimension on this page?
