1. Question 2 How does your media product represent particular social group?
2. I created a rock magazine. Throughout this magazine I wanted to create an image that would reflect my target audience. Therefore, for my front cover I used a singer who wanted to break into the world of rock. I made sure he looked towards the camera and created a serious confident look. I used a male singer to make the magazine look more masculine. The static expression creates a serious image.
3. I used the colour red to make it stand out more. Red has connation's of blood, anger, sin, guilt and danger! I also used the colour purple and black. Black has connation's of serious and danger. I used these colours because when I produced a questionnaire these were their favourite colours. By using the powerful colour of red it implies that the audience is passionate towards the magazine. Therefore this makes the words stand out even more.
4. Also my singer has long hair connoting a rocker. His clothing is dark and he has an electric guitar which also conforms with the image of a rock magazine. Also I made my singer look masculine, this is because many rock magazines are masculine and confident looking. However there are not many women in my magazine suggesting that my magazine target audience is more aimed towards men than women.
5. The images I used on my contents page conform to rock. Such as the top left image is a person playing drums, rock magazines are all about music. The top right image is of a girl singer, this breaks the conventions slightly as many rock magazines are masculine related. Also the bottom left image is also someone playing a guitar this also relates to the convetions of a rock magazine.
6. Language content I used language that is not formal. Therefore, it makes it easier for the audience to read the magazine and relax.
