PPCC general Secretary and MLA Arvind Khanna clarified that he's not considering to contest Lok Sabha election
from Sangrur because he is content with the state politics. He was speaking to press reporters in village Kuthala.
He further said that in the coming Lok Sabha elections Congress party will come to power once again and write a
new chapter. He further said that the NDA alliance does not have a PM candidate from which the people of the
country are satisfied.
He further said that the state government of Punjab under the Akalis is financially bankrupt and the tall claims of
big development projects talked about by the state government are hollow they can't even pay the state
government employees their monthly salaries. He said that the industrial houses are at the verge of closure which
the state government is not concerned for.Each and every promise done with the people of Dhuri will be fulfilled
day-by-day.The development of villages and city will be taken up on priority this was conveyed by the General
Secretary Punjab Congress and MLA Dhuri Shri Arvind Khanna in the village Kanjala while addressing a gathering.
He further said that the people of Dhuri will get better amenities in the coming years. He said that being the MLA
of Dhuri he is guarding over each and every work which is to be done for Dhuri. He said he himself is going to every
village and ward and having face to face interaction with the residents of Dhuri and finding out their problems and
himself is taking great care to see that those needs are fulfilled.
There are some leaders of the Akali-BJP alliance who are telling the people of Dhuri that they are getting things
done and whatever grant is coming and whatever projects are being completed is being done because of them. He
clarified that those politicians may say anything to the people it doesn't matter to him. He only wants the
development to take place in Dhuri and whosoever wants can take the credit for it.
On September 21, Punjab Chief minister Prakash Singh Badal is coming to Halka Dhuri on the occasion of birth
celebration of Bhai Lalo ji and we are hopeful that he will give special grants to Halka Dhuri. Being the
representative of Dhuri I appeal to the Chief Minister that there has been a longstanding request from the people
of Halka for a focal point. This may be considered for announcement. He further said that whenever I visit the
villages, people come up with their problems of pension, and Shagun scheme unavailability. I have asked for
special camps to be held in the villages so that the pensions could be delivered to the deserving. He said that he is
always available to the people for their demands and his doors are always open for everyone.
