We decided to put together a fun Lemur Face Sandwich and Lemur Tail Kabob with Cantaloupe Dip "food craft" that you can make with or for your kid's lunch. It's really easy and doesn't take too many ingredients.

Lemur Face Sandwich
(make 1 sandwich)
Ingredients:
•One piece of bread (we used brown rice bread)
•3 pieces of turkey or chicken lunch meat or a round slice of white cheese (we use nitrate free lunch meat)
•Mayonnaise (optional, but can work as "glue")
•2 green olive slices with pimiento
•1 black olive, cut lengthwise in half
•2-3 sheets of seaweed snack (they are about 2x4 inches each) Assembly:
1.Lay bread down on plate
2.Optional-spread bread with Mayonnaise
3.Take 2 pieces of lunch meat and trim, using kitchen shears, into a circle shape fitting the bread
4.Lay onto bread
5.Take the 3rd piece of lunch meat, fold over and trim into two triangles for ears, place in "ear position", using a small amount of mayo to stick down if you like.
6.Trim seaweed snack pieces into a rectangle for the forehead, 2 "leaf" shapes for the black around eyes and a circle for the muzzle. You can also cut two small strips for the ears, scraps may work.
7.Place into position on top of the meat (again using a small amount of mayo to stick down if you like).
8.Place green olives for eyes.
9.Place black olives for nose.
3. Lemur Tail Kabob
with Cantaloupe Dip
Ingredients:
•about 24 Blackberries
•about 24 pieces of banana cut into about 3/4 inch pieces
•4 Bamboo Skewers
•1 cup diced cantaloupe
•1/2 cup plain or vanilla yogurt (we used unsweetened coconut yogurt) Assembly
1.Skewer 6 blackberries and 6 pieces of banana on eachBamboo Skewer, alternating fruit, set aside.
2.(Job for mom or adult) Place diced cantaloupe and yogurt into the blender and blend until smooth.
3.Pour dip into a bowl
4.Serve with kabobs
