Malawi, SC targets a total population of 893,044 in hard-to-reach areas (151,817 children under five) in six districts: Nkhotakota, Dowa, Ntchisi, and Mchinji Districts in the Central Region, and Blantyre and Mulanje Districts in the Southern Region. In Southern Sudan, will be implemented in the eleven counties across the following five states where Save the Children in South Sudan (SCiSS) is currently supporting health activities at the facility level: Western Equatoria, Lakes, Eastern Equatoria, Upper Nile and Jongelei. The program will reach approximately 650,000 individuals, including nearly 120,000 children under five. In Mozambique, SC targets a total population of 2,414,916 (446,494.children under five) in fifteen districts of two provinces: Nampula: Angoche, Erati, Malema, Meconta, Mogincual, Mogovolas, Moma, Monapo, Murrupula and Ribaué Gaza: Chicualacuala, Guija, Mabalane, Chigubo and Massangena.

OR to ensure quality of asssessment. More supervision, less training – supervision less costly than trainings, and keeps CHWs in the field PDAs or cell phones for supervisors - allow data to be entered into local systsems and for rollup more quickly, so more time can be spent using the data for decision-making (and have fewer errors) OR – CHW capacity – to ensure they’re not being overburdened, and if so to see what can be cut
