Lender Question tool

 1. 1. Getting Kiva lenders involved
2. 2. Kiva is great…
But there’s not a lot of interactivity
Most of the communication is one-way
Loan profiles, pictures
Journals
3. 3. Lenders want to talk to borrowers
And Kiva fellows can make that happen
Journaling is the key
Journals go straight to lenders’ inboxes
They’re really interesting, especially when a fellow writes them!
4. 4. Kiva Fellow-mediated Q&A
1) Send out a journal for a borrower you’ll visit
Let lenders know you want their questions
2) Collect the questions via Google Moderator
3) Print out the questions, and ask them to the borrower
4) Report back with a journal entry
5. 5. Kiva Fellow selects borrowers w/tool
Lender
Kiva
Fellow
Chooses “John Borrower”
(and a few others)
Google
Moderator
John
Borrower
11. 11. Fellow sends Journal update
Lender
Kiva
Fellow
Journal Entry:
Dear Lender,
I met with John, who is 30 and sells rice. He has sold for 10 years…
He sells rice because his neighbors do too.
Google
Moderator
John
Borrower
