  • 2. What Chiropractors do!
    Chiropractors diagnose and treat patients with health problems.
    Most problems consist of the musculoskeletal system and nervous system.
    Acts of this job are mostly in the area of the spine.
  • 3. Interesting Procedures
    An interesting procedure is ultra sound which relaxes the muscles.
    Another procedure involves physical therapy through specific exercises.
  • 4. The Work Area
    Chiropractors work in clean comfortable offices.
    Chiropractors are sometimes on their feet for long periods of time.
    Patients are usually facedown on a soft bench during procedures.
  • 5. Requirements
    Most applicants have a bachelors degree.
    Programs require a minimum of 4200 hours of experience.
    Hours are usually used in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical experience.
  • 6. Study Span
    The first two years are spent studying the human body.
    The last two years give you clinical experience with manipulation of the spine and other areas of the back.
  • 7. Costs
    Costs at college can result from 415 to 150 dollars per credit hour.
    Many factors including bills and payments for college can make studying this very difficult.
  • 8. Payment and Rewards
    Chiropractors usually make between 45,540$ -96,700$
    They also receive health insurance and retirement benefits from their employers.
    Self employed chiropractors don’t receive health insurance or retirement benefits.
