This is a service designed to educate patients and families in the techniques of self-advocacy for both acute, episodic care and long-term chronic care. If the patient or families are in crisis I model the techniques as they navigate the real-time situation. Topics include, financing, choosing quality services, validating professional advice and taking the role as leader in your own treatment plan.
