EXPERIENCE Robert R Coffee Architect + Associates Newport Beach, California October 2004 to October 2009 Project Manager and Designer experience in all phases of design, construction documentation and project management. Integral part of a core team on each project within a small firm setting. Responsibilities include project programming, schematic and design development, preparation of presentation materials, construction documentation, code research, research of new materials and technologies, document checking and coordination, building cost analysis, construction observation, client meetings, and consultant coordination. Preferred projects include: ▪ OASIS Senior Center Newport Beach, California 42,750 sf Senior Community Center offering classes and social events. Currently under construction and pursuing Gold LEED certification, the building is comprised of meeting rooms, a large main event room with full service kitchen, an art center, fitness & wellness wing and administrative offices. Organized around a courtyard with exterior circulation and natural ventilation, it takes advantage of a temperate climate and ocean breezes. My responsibilities include programming, design, project management, construction documentation, interior material selection and LEED documentation. Slated for occupancy Summer 2010. ▪ Buena Park Community Center Buena Park, California Construction of a new 9,250 SF single-story “Social Hall” and a small lobby expansion to the existing senior center and the addition of a new covered bus drop-off/pick-up area. My responsibilities included design, project management and construction documentation. ▪ Norman P Murray Community Center Mission Viejo, California 13,250 sf addition and renovation to an existing 14,000 sf Community Center. Program included a large multi-purpose room with kitchen, meeting rooms, administrative offices and ancillary exterior spaces. My contribution included construction documentation and interior material selection. ▪ Bowers Museum for Cultural Arts Santa Ana, California 28,600 sf addition to an existing 1932 museum. New space included interior and exterior exhibition spaces and auditorium. I contributed to the design, construction documentation and interior material selection. Thirtieth Street Architects, Inc Newport Beach, California May 2002 to October 2004 Project Manager responsible for the coordination and execution of design development through construction documentation of a 15,000 sf branch library for the City of Newport Beach, CA. Project included master planning an adjacent park and construction documentation of tennis courts. I worked directly with the client, consultants, City and State agencies, construction manager and estimators. Construction completed October 2005.
  • LPA, Inc Irvine, California April 1997 to October 2001 Project Designer on civic, corporate and educational projects. Responsibilities included client meetings, preparation of hand drawn and computer generated materials for presentations, schematic design and design development phases. Project Designer on the following: ▪ Serra Catholic School Rancho Santa Margarita, California Private K-8 Day School with a tight budget necessitated a tilt-up construction solution. Additive elements; sunscreens, arbors and lunch shelters, were constructed as funds became available. Construction completed 2003. ▪ Tarbut V’Torah High School Irvine, California 50,000 sf private Jewish Day School. CMU and plaster construction completed Fall 2002. ▪ Ford Premier Automotive Group Irvine, California North American World Headquarters for Ford Motor Company and LEED certified. Responsible for the design of the Product Development wing; steel frame and concrete tilt-up construction with a vegetated roof. Construction completed October 2001. ▪ First American Financial Corporation Santa Ana, California Joint venture with Robert R Coffee Architect + Associates. Design, construction document and construction administration support on 200,000 sf corporate campus. RNM Design Irvine, California May 1996 to April 1997 Project Architect on single family housing developments, resort master planning and international commercial projects. Prepared presentation materials, schematic and design development documents. Anderson/Campanella Architects Rumson, New Jersey August 1994 to May 1996 Project Architect on custom residential and commercial work. Prepared presentation materials, schematic design, design development, and construction documents. Specific project experience included construction documentation and administration of 5,300 sf custom shingle style residence. Team member on construction documents of a 15,000 sf custom stone residence. Project Manager of 7,000 sf residential remodel including construction documentation and administration.
