    Notes on slide 1

Hi My name is joe drumgoole and I am the founder and CTO of PutPlace.com. We do online backup for small businesses and home users. Right from day one we made a decision to host ourselves in the cloud (though we didn’t call it that at the time) when we kicked off the business in 2006. I’m going to give you a lightening tour of our cloud stack and why we chose what we chose, then I’ll talk about some of the problems and finally some lessons learned. Lets crack on!
