The channel access under Hwy T to Cranberry Lake can accommodate most boats. 1564-acre Minong Flowage is known for good walleye fishing along with northern, bass, and panfish.
  10. Barnes Lakes Area 3 hours from the Twin Cities Eau Claire Chain of Lakes: Lower, Middle, Upper Eau Claire Robinson, Bony, Birch, Sweet Lakes
  11. Eau Claire Chain of Lakes The Eau Claire Chain offers more than 3000 acres of connected lakes. These lakes tend to be clearer and deeper than most others in the area, and offer some of the best fishing, swimming, and boating. Fish for muskies, northern, bass, and panfish.
  12. Solon Springs – 2.75 hours from the Twin Cities and less than an hour from Superior/Duluth 855-acre Upper St Croix Lake, at the headwaters of the St Croix River, offers some of the best fishing for walleye, northern, bass, and panfish.
