  • 1. LOST ITEMS!!!! By: Mari Ikegami, Sarah Query, and Phillipa McDonald
  • 2. Our project
    • We have chosen to find out how many items are left out on the pitch per day.
    • We chose this because we thought it would be interesting to see how many items are left outside on the pitch everyday. And we thought it would be fun.
    • We plan to investigate this by making a table of results and then going outside after break and count how many items and then put all of the items on the bench. Then go inside and record how many items we found in our table of results.
  • 3. Results Day’s of the week. Number of items. Monday 1 st break:1 2 nd break: 0 Tuesday 1 st break: 1 2 nd break: 3 Wednesday 1 st break: 0 2 nd break:4 Thursday 1 st break: 3 2 nd break:3 Friday 1 st break: 3 2 nd break: 2
  • 4. Averages
    • 1 st break-mean - (0+1+1+3+3) ÷ 5 = 8 ÷ 5= 1.6
    • Median- 1
    • Mode- 1 & 3
    • Range- 3
    • 2 nd break-mean -(0+2+3+3+4) ÷ 5 = 2.4
    • Median-3
    • Mode-3
    • Range-4
  • 5. Number of Items Found Bar graph
  • 6. Predictions
    • We predicted that if it is warmer outside then more people will leave items outside. This would be because when it is hotter outside then people will take off their jackets and leave them by accident.
  • 7. Conclusion
    • We have discovered that lots of people leave items on the pitch everyday and some of them that we saw cost a lot. So, people need to watch out and remember to bring their stuff back inside.
  • 8. Thank You
    • Thank you for watching our power point and I hope you enjoyed it!
