Background and Rationale<br />Existing site was perceived as inadequate for future needs<br />Content, usability, manageability, modern “web 2.0”<br />Changing demographics and advent of new media<br />Support a broader audience and purpose<br />24x7x365 involvement and engagement<br />Member and non-member outreach – Full time residents, part time summer residents, renters, year round visitors<br />Maintain fresh content and resources<br />Support the mission of the association<br />

A Vision<br />Foster community and promote involvement in the Greensboro Association through further communications and outreach. <br />Facilitate communication and collaboration within Greensboro Association and between the Association, its committees and its members, and <br />Increase the value that the Greensboro Association provides to members of the Greensboro community <br />

Current Status and Plans<br />Established a website platform for growth<br />Content Management System Technology (Joomla)<br />Plug-ins and software tools<br />Spend less than ½ the budget<br />The current site and foundation along with hosting services cost the association less than $1,000<br />Plan to continually enhance the site over time<br />Enhance look and feel / visual design / usability<br />Online payment and new member registration<br />Online Registration and Directory<br />
