    3. 3. We will use a Michael Jordan “Ten Greatest Dunks” clip to edit. It will be on the Media 2 WikiYou HAVE to cut up the Jordan clip. Don’t put it all in as one.
    4. 4. With a clip selected, pick Speed Ramp (Select to 0%)
    5. 5. Grab the retiming handles to change parameters
    6. 6. Notice the Percent Bars - then play the clipDrag the Percent Bars to change the playback
    7. 7. Clicking on the Down Arrow allows quick changes
    8. 8. The Ramped Look100% 39% KEY ACTION 18% or less 100% These numbers WILL vary, depending on the clip.
    9. 9. CRITICAL:THE SLOWEST PART IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ACTION IN THE SHOT
    10. 10. Does your clip stutter?Pick Optical Flow to smooth it out CRITICAL:
    11. 11. Want MORE stutter? Like a flashback? Pick Frame Blending CRITICAL:
    12. 12. Do THREE RAMPS with the footage supplied.
    13. 13. Next!
    14. 14. The Freeze Frame or “Hold” Shot
    15. 15. Take a single clipPut the scrubber where the key action is
    16. 16. Select HOLD
    17. 17. The HOLD box appears
    18. 18. Drag it as long or short as you like!
    19. 19. Do three “HOLD” Shots Insert three separate clips. NOW: We will save stillframesThis has feature has many uses.
    20. 20. Save Current Frame
    21. 21. Export as a PNG for an“alpha” (blank) background Export as a JPEG for a white background
    22. 22. Why make a STILL if we can hold? A couple reasons:This gives you more options if the freeze is a “final” clip. You can distort, transition out and or key the shot and drop in graphics or a different background. Be creative.
    23. 23. Use lasso tool in Preview to strip out the background. Or Photoshop it. Now, you can change the backgroundcolor and add titles BEHIND the still.
    24. 24. Operation: RetimingYour final video should be 6 - 8 clips, please share it to Vimeo at the iPod quality level
