CRITIQUING-Critique is the most important tool for developing skill as a photographer.- Critiquing involves a group that look at the photograph very carefully.- Critiquing with a group is very important because you learn so much from their comments.- The three essential questions are:1. What is good about it?2. What is not good?3. How could it be better?
  2. 2. PURPOSE OF PRESENTATIONThe most important thing about this presentation is to train the eyes on knowing how to critique other photographs, and your own.
  3. 3. STYLE- First you need to not pay attention to what you like and what you don’t like.- A lot of people critique a photograph depending on the content.- First thing you need to see on the photograph is the style of the photographer
  4. 4. STANDARDSStandards are judged not on opinion but on factsThe four basic factors are:1. Value2. Clarity3. Composition4. Presentation
  5. 5. VALUE• When referring to value they mean, the light and and not the price of it• The more contrast an image has the bigger the impact on the image.
  6. 6. CLARITY• The first thing to have clarity is to make sure the image is focused• The image’s clarity also depend on the shutter speed and also it depends on the contrast.
  7. 7. COMPOSITIONComposition is one of the hardest factors to evaluate because it is critique by styleThis is critique by the:• Point of interest• Cropping• Dynamic• Lines
  8. 8. PRESENTATION• This is the requires skill and care for the final photograph presented• Look for white flecks on the negative that shouldn’t be there• Also look for fingerprints, scratches and dark circles that have been produced by poor agitation.

  10. 10. This was purposed to teach how to critique a photograph.Ive also learned a lot of things from this presentation.
