17. (6833) Haritha b. Wahb reported that he heard Allah's Apostle
(may peace be upon him) as saying: May I not inform you
about the inmates of Paradise? They said: Do this, of course.
Thereupon Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: Every
humble person who is considered to be humble if he were to
adjure In the name of Allah, He would fulfil it. He then said:
May I not inform you about the denizens of Hell-Fire? They
said: Yes. And he said: Every haughty, fat and proud (person).
(Vol. 4, p. 1485)
Haritha b. Wahb reported God's messenger as saying, "Shall I
not tell about the inhabitants of paradise? They are every weak
one who is considered weak who if he were to swear an oath by
God would keep it. Shall I not tell you about the inhabitants of
hell? They are every surly, uncivil and proud one." (Vol. III, p.
1058)
254. Haritha ibn Wahb relates that he heard the Holy Prophet
say: Shall I tell you who are the dwellers of Paradise? It is every
weak one who is accounted weak and is looked down upon,
who if he takes an oath relying upon Allah He would fulfil it.
Now shall I tell you who are the denizens of the Fire? It is every
ignorant, impertinent, prideful and arrogant one (p. 63).
