      • 3. Select digital tools or resources to use for a real-world task and justify the selection based on their efficiency and effectiveness. (3,6)
      • Students will use social bookmarking to find and share healthy food websites in order to create a weekly food menu.
      • Students will then use google docs to view and critique at least three peer’s menus.
      • Based on the suggestions and comments from peers the students will submit a final menu to the instructor through google docs.
    3. 5. Identify a complex global issue, develop a systematic plan of investigation, and present innovative sustainable solutions. (1,2,3,4)
      • Each student will report on the epidemic of obesity in the United States using government websites and various charts and graphs.
      • Students will then create a power point presentation on a proposed solution to the problem.
    4. 7. Design a website that meets accessibility requirements. (1,5)
      • Each student will create a blog through eblogger on google. The students will post their daily menu and proposed obesity solution on their blog.
      • In addittion the students will add delicious.com and multiple nutrition sites to their links list as a tool for quick and efficient web browsing.
    5. 9. Create media-rich presentations for other students on the appropriate and ethical use of digital tools and resources. (1,5)
      • Using Digital Video cameras groups of students will create a short video of ethical vs. unethical ways of using online technology.
      • Using Final Cut Pro the groups will edit and create a final 2 minute video on Netiquette.
      • The students will research Netiquette standards in order to properly act out their video assignments.
