Transcript of "Make your own Bible Ornaments for Christmas"

  1. 1. Insert for “Son of God” We intended these inserts to be cut out and glued inside our cards but they could also be used as ornaments in their own right. Clicking an ornament downloads a file with two like images. Use them single sided as card inserts or staple the two halves together for an ornament that will last for years. May making ornaments together bless your family/church with Joy, peace and more time for… One another.
  2. 2. Insert for “Better than Angels” Insert for “Teacher” The inserts are meant to help children include God and his Word in Christmas. We intended them to be glued inside the card but they could also be used as Ornaments in their own right. Clicking an ornament downloads a file with two like images. Use them single sided or staple together for an ornament that will last for years.
  3. 3. Insert for “Prince of Peace” Insert for “Emmanuel” The inserts are meant to help children include God and his Word in Christmas. We intended them to be glued inside the card but they could also be used as Ornaments in their own right. Clicking an ornament downloads a file with two like images. Use them single sided or staple together for an ornament that will last for years.
  4. 4. Insert for “Gift of God” Insert for “Life” The inserts are meant to help children include God and his Word in Christmas. We intended them to be glued inside the card but they could also be used as Ornaments in their own right. Clicking an ornament downloads a file with two like images. Use them single sided or staple together for an ornament that will last for years.
  5. 5. Insert for Children’s bread Insert for “Beginning and end” The inserts are meant to help children include God and his Word in Christmas. We intended them to be glued inside the card but they could also be used as Ornaments in their own right. Clicking an ornament downloads a file with two like images. Use them single sided or staple together for an ornament that will last for years.
  6. 6. Insert for “The Word made flesh” Insert for King of Kings The inserts are meant to help children include God and his Word in Christmas. We intended them to be glued inside the card but they could also be used as Ornaments in their own right. Clicking an ornament downloads a file with two like images. Use them as single sided or staple together for an ornament that will last for years.
  7. 7. Insert for “Holy child” Insert for “One with the Father” The inserts are meant to help children include God and his Word in Christmas. We intended them to be glued inside the card but they could also be used as Ornaments in their own right. Clicking an ornament downloads a file with two like images. Use them as single sided or staple together for an ornament that will last for years.
  8. 8. Insert for “Savior” Insert for “Author of our Faith” The inserts are meant to help children include God and his Word in Christmas. We intended them to be glued inside the card but they could also be used as Ornaments in their own right. Clicking an ornament downloads a file with two like images. Use them as single sided or staple together for an ornament that will last for years.
  9. 9. Two ways to use these Ornament Inserts. Set your printer to Full color (Ornament on left)….Or Set the printer to Grey Scale (Black and White) and color the black and white image with your own markers. (Ornament on right). Using the OPTIONAL Ornament Inserts. Our first hope is that children would write their own message inside the card. The problem is that this is not always easy with a whole class of children and just one adult. Cutting and pasting an INSERT followed by a simple signature helps a child feel like his/her card is PERSONAL. Click any image to print in full color “Insert for Love” Black and White verse colored with markers
  10. 10. Insert for “Joy” Insert for “Fellowship” Each insert features a Bible verse. Asking a child to “choose” a verse insures that he/she will be looking at each insert critically…deciding which verse is for his or her Ornament. (Click any image to download/print that insert). The first 15 inserts focus on the Gifts Christ brought when he came to earth. Click any image to download/print that page
  11. 11. Insert for “Strength” Insert for “Freedom” Printing or copying full color inserts can be a bit expensive if you are working with a large group of children. One option is to set your printer for gray scale or “black and white” and then allow the children to color over the entire insert. (Great for younger and older children alike.)
  12. 12. Insert for “Truth” Insert for “Faith” If possible print out a variety of inserts (Bible Verses) for your class/family to choose from . The verse a child chooses might not be a perfect match for the theme of the ornament card but allowing him or her to have their own verse is more important than matching.
  13. 13. Insert for “Purity” Insert for “Light” Adding an insert to your ornament/card is strictly optional. A hand written “Have a blessed Christmas full of God and His word” is also a good idea.
  14. 14. Insert for “Peace” Insert for “Hope” Glow in the dark paint is a bit expensive but a small bottle is enough for an entire class of children to paint around the outside edge of their ornament. Just another way to help God’s word get the attention it deserves.
  15. 15. Insert for “Forgiveness” Insert for “Mercy” A few ideas about helping children make their cards: For the cards use 26-38 Pound paper, For the inserts use the lightest weight glossy paper available. Use glue sticks to fix the insert in place. Most of these materials are Affordable at most office supply stores.
  16. 16. Insert for “Peace” Insert for “Evidence” The inserts are meant to help children include God and his Word in Christmas. We intended them to be glued inside the card but they could also be used as Ornaments in their own right. Clicking an ornament downloads a file with two like images. Use them single sided or staple together for an ornament that will last for years.
  17. 17. Before moving on to the next fifteen inserts “Names of Christ” a word about using our “card/ornaments “ to increase your Sunday School Attendance??? Great activity for the first week of December. What if the children in your Sunday School Class each made three card/ornaments and glued the invitation to the right inside the cards before sending them to three friends OR if your church has a grocery pantry putting cards in the grocery bags? Those friends might actually show up. What if the parents in your church sent a few cards to their friends?? Church growth can be as simple as Sunday School growth… as simple as an ornament making party. For more details click “Party” at www.christinchristmas.co To print free inserts click the image to the right.
  18. 18. Insert for “Son of God” Whether you have an Ornament making party or not may making ornaments together bless your family/church with Joy, peace and more time for… One another.
