  • Hi! I liked your presentation of the learning cycle a lot.

    However, the version of the cycle i am familiar with is slightly different in one aspect: where you have 'adjust', i usually have 'practice', which is where the theory hits reality and is tested in practical activities. That 'practice' then becomes the source for new experiences that will feed the 'review' (or reflection as i know it).

    Could you please explain why you have it that way? Thanks!

  • People learn from experience. It has been said that experience is a great teacher, unfortunately the tuition fees can be far too high. Using simulation or other off-line techniques to allow experience to be gained in a low risk environment adds realism and relevance to a training session. But this is only the start of the adult learning cycle.
