    3. What’s a Blog? Definition : A blog (short for weblog) is a personal online journal that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. Blogs are defined by their format: a series of entries posted to a single page in reverse-chronological order.
    4. Why have a Blog?
      • Blogging WILL make you better at what you do
      • Tremendous learning opportunity
      • Promote conversation
      • Create transparency in your business
      • Connect to clients and potential clients
      • Build a sense of community
      • Increase web presence
      • Show AND tell (expertise, personality)

      • Blogging successfully :
      • Don’t expect overnight success
      • Consistency is key
      • Participate on other blogs
      • Ask questions
      • Have your own opinion
      • Tell the truth. Always. You will get called out if you don’t

      • Avoid politics, sex, religion
      • Going “off topic” is OK, just remember your ultimate purpose.

      • Write a Keyword rich title that expresses benefits to the reader
      • Open the blog post with a keyword rich and benefit expressing sentence
      • Use your keyword or phrases 2-3 times in the post if possible
      • Add emphasis by bolding keywords
