HootSuite Explained <ul><li>HootSuite helps organizations use the social web to launch marketing campaigns, identify and grow audience, and distribute targeted messages across multiple channels. </li></ul><ul><li>Using HootSuite’s unique social media dashboard, teams can collaboratively schedule updates to Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Wordpress and other social networks via web, desktop or mobile platforms plus track campaign results and industry trends to rapidly adjust tactics. </li></ul>Confidential

HootSuite Strategy <ul><li>With HootSuite, staff members will be able to aggregate, monitor and manage brand messaging over the social networks. </li></ul><ul><li>There are tabs set up to segment messaging, brand monitoring, research and influencer communication. </li></ul><ul><li>One hour a day should be set aside to monitor messages, schedule targeted messaging and communicate with influencers. </li></ul><ul><li>The objective is to listen to what is being said in the industry and provide quality messaging to the base leveraging the following of the influencers in the space. </li></ul>Confidential
  4. 4. HootSuite Step 1 Outlook <ul><li>Set up a tab to only look at the direct messaging. This will allow for timely response to those who directly reach out to communicate with the brand. </li></ul><ul><li>This tab should include direct feeds, direct messages (inbound and outbound), pending tweets and sent tweets. This is very similar to checking emails in Outlook. </li></ul><ul><li>For all relevant direct messages, provide targeted responses. Use @username and #keyword in the messaging. </li></ul>Confidential
  5. 5. HootSuite Step 2 Brand Watch <ul><li>Set up a brand watch tab to manage brand activity. See who mentions the brand name. Follow who retweets your message and who you felt most relevant to retweet. If there are any consistent activity, flag it as a favorite and an influencer. A strong communication bond has been established and a brand evangelist has been identified. </li></ul><ul><li>Research how many follower that influencer has and look at crafting indirect messages to that influencer that their followers can see. </li></ul>Confidential
  6. 6. HootSuite Step 3 Research <ul><li>Set up a research tab in order to research what is being said about a particular keyword and who is saying it. Establish a new follower by retweeting and responding to relevant messages. The quality of the message goes a long way as not only the person responded to has potential of being a follower, their followers do as well. </li></ul>Confidential
  7. 7. HootSuite Step 4 Influencers <ul><li>Set up an influencer tab to keep track of the influencers you are communicating with. In order to be effective, a communication bond must be created. In most cases, this will have to be more than one message. </li></ul><ul><li>Once a month, conduct follow up with influencers in the space. </li></ul><ul><li>The objective is to engage dialogue with them. </li></ul>Confidential
