This PowerPoint presentation was created for one of my graduate courses. The scenario was set in a large company with offices all over the US. Each office does their own training, which is delivered in “stand-up” or “hands-on” mode, and there is no collaboration. This has resulted in a lot of duplication of efforts, wasted resources and time. The access of material is limited as it is stored on the LAN. My task was to make knowledge management recommendations

    4. 6. <ul><li>Develop measurable business objectives. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>The scope: Managing the development and deployment of training materials. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Make sure all the stake holders are explicitly aware of the objectives. </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure adequate leadership and monetary support </li></ul><ul><li>Identify areas of possible resistance and address these. </li></ul><ul><li>Develop a knowledge management team </li></ul>

(Example, Technical skills and design tools, sales and marketing). </li></ul><ul><li>All offices should have be represented in the team. </li></ul><ul><li>Include outside consultants, vendor representatives and Knowledge Management experts. </li></ul>

A lot of information has been presented the task now is to make more detailed plans, come up with reasonable time lines and ensure accountability.
