It lets me express my personality and who I am. I am also very artistic, and to be an interior designer you have to have an artistic ability </li></ul>
  • 3. Skills needed <ul><li>ACTIVE LISTENING : In order to effectively help the client, you must listen to everything they have to say. If you do a design that was not desired by the client, your job will not be done correctly. </li></ul>
  • 4. CRITICL THINKING <ul><li>To understand what the client wants, you must be able to think clearly and truly get the feel for what they want. In order to do this critical thinking is needed . </li></ul>
  • 5. WORKING IN TEAMS <ul><li>In most cases, you will be working with other people while designing. Everyone has different opinions, so this is why working in teams is important. </li></ul>
  • 6. COMMUNICATION <ul><li>You must be able to communicate with your co-workers about different design options that everyone has to offer. </li></ul>
  • 7. DIVERSITY <ul><li>When working with other co-workers, many people have different opinions, so you must be open and diverse to take in new design ideas. </li></ul>

Educational route <ul><li>78% people get a bachelors degree. </li></ul><ul><li>22% people get an associates degree. </li></ul><ul><li>Education- I would go to a four year college to first get my bachelors degree, then I might want to advance to a further degree </li></ul><ul><li>Courses- Interior design course in high school, Art classes. </li></ul><ul><li>Schools you can attend: The art institute of New York, Digital media arts college, and academy of art university. </li></ul>
  • 15. Shadowing Experience <ul><li>My Fed-ex shadowing experience at Dowling college opened my eyes to the world. It showed me that we all need each other in this world. During the experience, we did many activities that included team work. From this, I have realized that working together with other people is very important for a successful life, and a sucessful career. </li></ul>
