    David Meyer
  • 2. About Meyer
    David Meyer was born in Berkeley, California, when growing up he began to get a love for film during his teenage years working at a local cinema at 17. David attended Loyola Marymount University where he studied and majored in Film Production and Philosophy. Once graduating from university David went to the Los Angeles film festival and produced a short film called Copper Woman and in the following year began to work with major company Paramount Pictures to work with the development of the two films Face off and also Twilight. David began to work with well known artist in the next ten years that followed, David worked with a range of different artist and wanted each of his videos to define the artist in their own unique way. Always involved in media David then started to do commercials, one being the silhouette campaign for Apple.
  • 3. The Beginning
    The first music video David directed was ‘Slave to society’ by K.E.V in 1995.
    Another song directed by David was ‘Throw your hands up’ by IFA’ in 1996
    In 1996 David also directed ‘Off da hook’ by Off da hook.
  • 4. Into 1997...
    David continued to direct music videos into 1997 and directed 14 in total, to name a few are:
    Sons of funk’s single ‘Pushing inside you’ was directed by David.
    The song raise the roof by Luke also was directed by David.
    Destiny’s Child- Just be straight
  • 5. 1998...
    Mytown- Party all night
    MC Ren- Ruthless for life
    Another song David directed was ‘Talk show shh’ by Shae Jones
  • 6. 1999...
    In 1999 I feel this was David’s breakthrough, in 1999 David began to work with some well known artists, these included songs such as:
    Kid Rock- Bawitdaba
    Lil Wayne- Tha block is hot
    LL Cool J- Shut em down
  • 7. 2000...
    With the new millennium, David worked with more well known artists and beginning to make a name for himself. To pick just a few, they are:
    Enrique Iglesias- Be with you
    Pink- Most Girls
    Britney- Lucky

    David continued creating lots of music videos with famous artists...
    Pink- Get the party started
    Missy Elliot- Get your freak on
    Christina Millian- Am to Pm
  • 9. 2002...
    Mariah Carey- Through the rain
    Aerosmith- Girls of summer
    Missy Elliot- Work it
  • 10. 2003...
    Missy Elliot- Pass the Dutch
    Ludacris- Stand Up
    Pink- Feel good time
  • 11. 2005...
    Pink- Stupid Girls
    Rhymefest- Brand new
    Missy Elliot- Lose Control
  • 12. 2007
    David did not direct any music videos in 2006 due to his development in his film, The Hitcher, but soon made more videos in hate following year of 2007.

    With over 15 years of directing music videos, film making and adverts David has been given lots of awards.
