What the App Does
Allow users to send SMS/Internet disaster alerts
Automatically capture and send location coordinates and environment pictures
Responders can view reported disaster alerts near his location to prioritize his response route/itinerary
Utilizes GIS, GPS and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies

Why People Will Use It
Faster mapping of alerts from the public (people in/nearby the disaster zones )
Allow people to gather real-time field data of disaster events, hazards or crisis situations
Document the environment complete with location and photo
Facilitates creation of community-based disaster response centers
Affordable and easy solution to mitigate impact of disasters for NGAs, LGUs, public and private sectors

Quick Start Guide
Select the Disaster ALERT! from the menu
A Report / Respond screen will be displayed
If the user clicks Report, he can describe and send the alert thru SMS or Internet
If the user clicks Respond, a Map View screen will display all the nearby reported alerts.
If a disaster alert has been responded, the status and color of the icon will change from red to green
