    • Classifiyng Matter Scavenger Hunt By: Kevin Casanova
    • ELEMENT
      • Silver is a element because it is on the periodic table. It can’t be broken down chemically, but if it does, than it’s an atom.
    • MIXTURES
      • Juice is a mixture because it is composed/combined of more than one substance and it can be physically separated.
    • MIXTURES
      • Chex Mix is a mixture because it is made up of rice, sugar, salt, and more. They are all combined.
    • MIXTURES
      • Soil is a mixture because it is made up of different things like rocks, minerals and plants.They are all combined in the soil.
    • COMPOUNDS
      • Salt is a compound because it is made up of sodium and chloride therefore it is made up of two or more elements chemically joined.
    • COMPOUNDS
      • Sugar is a compound because it is made up of two or more chemical elements. It is commonly made up of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen.
    • HOMOGENOUS
      • Milk is a homogenous mixture because you can’t see anything through it; it is the same all the way through.
    • HOMOGENOUS
      • Tap water is homogenous because it is clear. It is see through. It does not show its components.
    • HETEROGENEOUS
      • Salad dressing is a heterogeneous because it isn’t chemically mixed together. There’s lot of stuff in it.
    • HETEROGENEOUS
      • Pizza is a heterogeneous because you can see that pizza has different layers and different parts to it (cheese, meat, sauce, etc.).
