    • THE PASSENGER AND CARGO PLATFORM, OR GONDOLA, IS SUSPENDED FROM A TRAVELER THAT RUNS ALONG THE TRACK PROVIDED BY THE CROSSBARS.

    • THE TOWERS WERE 43 METRES HIGH.
    • THE FOUNDATIONS WERE 10 METERS DEEP.
    • THE ORIGINAL GONDOLA MEASURED 10 x 5 METERS.
  • 5.- THE CONSTRUCTION WORK
    • CONSTRUCTION STARTED ON APRIL 10th 1890 ON THE PORTUGALETE BANK.
    • ALL THE DIFFERENT PARTS WERE INITIALLY ASSEMBLED WITH BOLTS, BUT FINALLY, RIVETS WERE EMPLOYED.
