Transcript

  • 1. How to set up your microphone : This tutorial explains how to configure the Realtek Audio Manager for recording purposes.
  • 2. BEFORE STUDENTS PLUG IN HEADPHONES: Open the Realtek Audio Manager. This can be found in the Control Panel.
  • 3. Choose Audio I/O tab
  • 4. Click the wrench under the Analog Section
  • 5. Deselect “Mute rear panel” Deselect “Enable auto popup dialog” Select “disable front panel jack det.” This should prevent a popup box from continually ‘popping up’ on some of the students’ screens. I’ve found that on some computers, it will inevitably happen anyway. : ( You don’t HAVE to do this, but like I said, some kids will have an annoying popup that won’t go away, and you’ll have to deal with them
  • 6. Now, Click “information”
  • 7. Select Show icon in sys. Tray It should be green.
  • 8. Use 3D demo to test if the student can hear with their headphones
  • 9. Make sure all levels are up, especially Record, Front Mic and Mic Volume
  • 10. Also, open these tiny icons, one by one, and…
  • 11. … boost the mic
  • 12. Make sure nothing is “muted”
  • 13. Right click the icon in the system tray Select the Sound Recorder And test if they can record. If so, they’re good to go!
