  • jarche Harold Jarche at jarche.com This is a work in progress, and perhaps Jay Cross can explain it better, as it relates to developing a coherent organization that connects internal work teams with external social networks.

  • timsusername timsusername I think that the presentation was interesting and stimulating. It contains within it a number of world views and paradigms that I have difficulty in subscribing or seeing the direct relevance of. Slide 17 which I am currently browsing is a good example - is 'goal oriented' really some how opposed or on the same dimension as 'opportunity driven'. The othr axis 'structured // informal - yes but so what? It is obvious that social networks as usually less formal that work teams, given the same participant culture, but across professions or cultures, I am not so sure this is the case. Ex. Maybe an English diplomatic social network is more structured and formal than a Danish IT developers micro enterprise. Probably the latter also has more innovation... At least I am thinking about what this might mean, which is of course what L&D is about. 1 year ago
